Mixing your gems

Okay, so you have mastered the trend of layering your jewelry and now you want to take it one step further. Mixing different kinds of colours can be very tricky. But it is probably the most fun part of layering jewelry because you get the chance to showcase your creativity.

So before you go layering all willy nilly, here are some tips on how to layer your gems without looking like six year old who just raided some of her Grandma's jewelry box (Okay true, that is something that we all 've done sometimes)

The most important thing that you have to remember when it comes to mixing different kind of gemstones is that you choose neutral and warm shades together and neutral and cold shades together. Warm colours for instance are Yellow Jade, Red Aventurine, Smokey Quartz, Grey Agate, Rose Quartz or Tiger Eye. Cold colours are Hematite, Onyx, Labradorite, Amethyst and Green Aventurine.

Mixing your gems with Necklaces
So the rule for mixing different kind of gems is: There should always be 1 gemstone with a solid colour for example the Red Aventurine and Yellow Jade. And then you can mixed it up with a special gem like the Tiger Eye or a beautiful Polaris ball.

With necklaces make sure that you're mixing it up with different types of lengths. You want each piece to be displayed naturally. If all of your necklaces are the same length, they not only block each other's view (or get tangled) but it would also look very messy with the two different gemstone colours.

Stacking your gemstone bracelets
You want to let your jewelry make the statement right? So don't confuse the look by wearing busy prints or too many bright colors. If you're layering bracelets, wear a shirt with short sleeves (or push the sleeves up). An important thing to remember: Add at least two plain All Shine bracelets to your stack, for example Silver or maybe you prefer Gold or Rosegold more?
Our favourite combinations?
Rosegold: We love the combinations of Rosegold with Red Aventurine and Grey Agate or Rosegold with Smokey Quartz and Rose Quartz.
Silver: Prefer silver jewelry more? Combine Silver with Lapis Lazulli and Labradorite or Silver with Onyx and Howlite.
Gold: For the goldies you could mix up Gold with Tiger Eye and Yellow Jade or Gold with Goldstone Green with Green Aventurine
